Dilatometry & Thermal Expansion

Vertical Dual-Specimen Dilatometer

The PZY-III vertical dual-specimen dilatometer measures expansion and contraction and determines the linear coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) for ceramics, glass, alloys, nonmetallic materials, graphite, carbon materials, rubber, plastics, and composites. It operates at furnace temperatures up to 1,000 °C with reference to ASTM D3386, DIN 51045, GB/T 32158-2015, GB/T 3074.4, and YBB 00202003-2015.

Product Description

The PZY-III has a vertical dual-pushrod structure. It monitors displacement and temperature throughout the test and accepts glass rods, tubes, plates, and finished products. Software calculates the linear coefficient of thermal expansion and linear thermal-expansion curves, displays and records temperature–expansion-coefficient curves and raw data, and stores and prints results.

The instrument can also evaluate expansion and contraction of composite materials in the molten state when the specimen and furnace configuration permit.
