Dilatometry & Thermal Expansion

Thermal Expansion Dilatometer

The DIL0809PC measures specimen dimensional change as a function of temperature or time under a programmed temperature profile and near-zero load. It supports solids, molten metals, powders, coatings, ceramics, metals, polymers, building materials, refractories, composites, and related materials from room temperature to 1,600 °C.

Product Description

The horizontal dilatometer uses a differential sensor and a thermocouple positioned near the specimen. Software calculates linear and volumetric expansion, compensates the measurement range, stores and prints data, and can perform rate-controlled sintering (RCS).

Analyses include glass transition, softening point, phase transformation, anisotropy, sintering, and thermal-treatment behavior, together with optional protective-gas and vacuum operation.
