Glass TestingGlass
Glass Softening Point Tester by Hanging-Fiber Method
The RH-I determines glass softening temperature by the hanging-fiber method specified in ISO 7884-1978(E). It controls heating at 5 ± 1 °C/min and detects the temperature at which a 235 mm fiber elongates by 1 mm, corresponding to a viscosity of 4.5 × 10⁶ Pa·s.

Product description
Product Description
A glass fiber is suspended in the furnace and heated at a controlled rate. The instrument records the temperature at which the fiber reaches the specified elongation.
The system provides digital temperature, micrometer, and timing measurements. The instrument provides a maximum use temperature of 900 °C and an instantaneous maximum of 1,100 °C.
