Guarded Hot Plate Thermal Conductivity Tester

The instrument uses the guarded hot plate method in GB 10294-2008 to measure thermal conductivity or thermal resistance in homogeneous board-shaped insulation materials. It uses a dual-specimen apparatus with computer-controlled measurement, direct cold-side cooling, and selectable specimen sizes for 30 A, 60 A, and 100 A configurations.

Product Description

The dual-specimen apparatus holds specimens vertically between parallel constant-temperature plates. At steady state, the central metering region has constant heat flow; thermocouple thermoelectric potential and surface temperatures are used to calculate thermal resistance at the mean temperature and then thermal conductivity from specimen thickness.

The system includes a combined control cabinet, refrigeration and pneumatic systems, a computer and printer, a heating unit, two cold units, and automatic space adjustment for specimen thickness. Computer control collects signals, processes data, controls temperature and time, calculates results, and prints reports.
