Building Component Heat Transfer Analyzer

The DRX-I-EX uses the calibrated hot-box method and one-dimensional steady-state heat transfer to measure the heat-transfer performance, thermal resistance, and thermal conductivity of building-component specimens. It references GB 13475-1992 and uses controlled hot and cold boxes, temperature and surface measurements, and metering-box power.

Product Description

The cold and hot boxes establish the required temperature, air velocity, and radiation conditions on opposite sides of a specimen. At steady state, the system measures air temperature, specimen and box-wall surface temperatures, and power supplied to the metering box, then calculates heat-transfer performance with a one-dimensional mathematical model.

Heating and cooling power are controllable according to specimen size. Protective and metering boxes can be made to the required standard. Computer control performs the full test and process analysis; imported digital sensors are used for temperature measurement.

Ordering information: verify the required measurement accuracy, specimen size, hot-box/cold-box dimensions, and metering-box configuration before ordering.
