Dilatometry & Thermal Expansion

Vertical Dilatometer for Non-Metallic Materials

The PZY-III-10/14/17 vertical dilatometer measures the coefficient of thermal expansion of non-metallic materials, graphite, ceramics, rubber, plastics, and composite materials at selected temperatures. Its vertical configuration accommodates large specimens and provides digital or dial displacement display, automated temperature and displacement control, and linear-expansion analysis.

Product Description

The instrument uses computer technology and an intelligent controller to monitor and control displacement and temperature, with offline or connected automatic operation. Offline testing is performed manually through the intelligent controller, while the control computer modifies parameters. The instrument measures the average linear coefficient of thermal expansion of pharmaceutical glass ampoules in accordance with YBB 00202003-2015 and can also test aluminum alloys, non-metallic materials, graphite and carbon materials, ceramics, rubber, plastics, and their composites.

A protective-gas interface, vertical single- or dual-pushrod configuration, air-cooling device, quartz or alumina supports, and specimen molds are available. The software calculates linear thermal expansion and expansion-rate curves, records temperature–expansion curves and raw data, and supports data storage, review, and printing.

Ordering information: verify the selected temperature range, atmosphere gas train, vacuum requirement, pushrod arrangement, and specimen fixture before ordering.
