Horizontal Dilatometer
The horizontal dilatometer measures the coefficient of thermal expansion of ceramics, refractories, corundum, and other solid materials, including investment-casting shell and core materials. It controls and records temperature and displacement for studies of softening, sintering, glass transition, and phase transformation.

Product Description
The dilatometer uses computer technology and an instrument controller to monitor and control displacement and temperature throughout testing. It can operate offline for manual testing through the controller or online for automatic testing, with parameter changes made from the control computer.
It is used for ceramics, building materials, glass, refractories, metals, alloys, and precision-casting shell and core materials. The system records and prints test data, archives experimental results, and supports database search and editing. Applications include softening temperature, sintering kinetics, glass-transition temperature, phase transformation, density change, and controlled sintering rate (RCS).
