Hot-Wire Thermal Conductivity Tester
The DRX-I-RX uses hot-wire testing in cross and parallel configurations to measure thermal conductivity of shaped insulating refractory products, powders, and nonmetallic solids, and can be configured for specific heat capacity measurement. The instrument references GB 5990-86, GB/T 10297-1998, and GB/T 17106-1997; selectable maximum temperatures are 1,000 °C, 1,400 °C, and 1,600 °C.

Product Description
The DRX-I-RX measures thermal conductivity of shaped insulating refractory products, powders, and other nonmetallic solid materials using cross and parallel methods. The instrument references GB 5990-86, GB/T 10297-1998, and GB/T 17106-1997; a computer can provide automated test analysis through the documented legacy Windows XP software.
A specific-heat-capacity module can be installed on the same instrument for solid and powder materials, and instruments for hot-strip and probe methods can also be configured. Applications include research and teaching, industrial and mining quality inspection, and thermal-property testing of new materials.
