The instrument includes c-DTA functionality for detecting endothermic and exothermic effects while measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion. Furnace options are −196 to 200 °C, ambient temperature–500 °C, ambient temperature–1,200 °C, ambient temperature–1,400 °C, and ambient temperature–1,600 °C.
The software includes measurement and analysis functions and an optional Rate-Controlled Sintering (RCS) function. According to user settings, RCS adjusts the heating rate according to the sample shrinkage rate during sintering.
Referenced methods include ASTM E831, ASTM D696, ASTM D3386, and DIN 51045.
