A PZY-III-1000 vertical dilatometer, custom-built for the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture at Beijing Jiaotong University, was delivered on November 28, 2019. The instrument is designed for specimens from 50 mm to 160 mm high.
It measures expansion and shrinkage during thermal treatment and is intended for ceramics, graphite, building materials, glass, refractories, and concrete. It is used in coefficient-of-thermal-expansion studies, and thermal-analysis software provides analysis throughout the process.
