This high-temperature dynamic rotational slag-resistance test furnace is designed in accordance with GB/T 8931-2007, Refractory Materials—Method for Determination of Resistance to Slag. It implements Test Method 3: the rotating-specimen gas-through method. The system is a vertical high-temperature atmosphere electric furnace composed of a furnace shell, heating modules, crucible, operation and control system, and auxiliary components.
The furnace uses a high-precision digital temperature controller paired with a continuously adjustable, non-on/off silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) voltage regulator. Users can program process curves, store multiple temperature profiles, maintain multiple PID parameter sets, and use PID self-tuning to prevent overshoot and continuously regulate heating power. The furnace supports melting under air or protective atmospheres.
Main technical specifications:
- Maximum operating temperature: 1,700 °C - Heating method: silicon–molybdenum (Si–Mo) rods; temperature measurement: platinum-rhodium thermocouple - Heating rate: room temperature to 1,300 °C at 1–15 °C/min; 1,300–1,600 °C at 1–5 °C/min - Rated heating power: approximately 16 kW - Temperature control: closed-loop PID with programmable curve control; up to 50 segments - Temperature measurement wire: type B standard wire - Furnace chamber atmospheres: Air, N₂, Ar; supports operation in air or protective atmospheres - Gas flow rate: 0–10 L/min - Temperature control accuracy: ±1 °C; holding stability: ±2 °C - Specimen size: 40 × 40 × 230 mm, up to four specimens tested simultaneously; also supports 40 × 40 × X rectangular specimens (height X adjustable per crucible height, >200 mm, typically 230 mm) - Crucible size: customized according to specimen size - Rotation mechanism: supports four specimens simultaneously; specimens are suspended in slag melt and perform planetary motion; rotation speed: 5–30 rpm - Specimen fixtures: secure clamping - Crucible details: inner diameter 210 mm, outer diameter 220 mm, internal height 165 mm; accommodates 80 mm molten iron and 40 mm slag; specimen immersion depth places the tip approximately 20 mm above the crucible bottom; crucible material: graphite - Slag addition port provided - Crucible lifting mechanism raises the crucible from below the furnace chamber into position
