DIL0806A/B Materials Dilatometer
The DIL0806 material dilatometer uses computer control, intelligent PID regulation, and a modular design to measure displacement and temperature for carbon fibers, metal alloys, glass, ceramics, refractories, and polymer composites. The configurable system offers vertical or horizontal structures, multiple furnaces and specimen supports, vacuum or gas environments, and computer data acquisition.

Product Description
The basic dilatometer system has an integrated measurement amplifier, an inductive displacement sensor, an adjustable alloy measurement head, vacuum sealing, a constant-temperature water-bath-protected sensor base, and adjustable contact pressure. Specimen supports include quartz, alumina, and graphite. A gas-protected tubular furnace and a liquid-nitrogen vessel can be selected for the required temperature range and specimen support.
The control and data-acquisition system provides dual analog inputs, optically isolated inputs, range-switch preamplification, temperature programming for different sensors, linear heating and cooling rates, programmable isothermal periods, analog PID control, room-temperature compensation, and thermocouple functions. The software stores and analyzes data and connects through PCI or USB2.0; the specified Windows XP environment is a legacy platform whose current support requires confirmation. The package includes a fused-quartz reference specimen and a two-stage rotary-vane vacuum pump.
